Global Results Product Marketing Salary Survey 2023 Company Does company size really matter? factors We’ve assessed the relationship between company size and average earnings from a number of angles, and each time we’ve reached the same conclusion: Size does matter, but only at the extreme ends of the spectrum. Product marketers at very small companies are typically earning less than their counterparts at more established organizations – whereas PMMs at large/multinational companies earn significantly more than the global average. But that’s where the correlation ceases. Across the spectrum of mid-sized companies, we were unable to detect a strong link between organizational scale and earning potential. This would suggest that once a business reaches a certain level of maturity, its size and composition have little bearing on the size of the salaries it awards. 33
