Global Results Product Marketing Salary Survey 2023 Inclusivity Gender and job title and pay To develop a clearer understanding of the factors impacting gender pay disparities, we decided to look at the differences between male and female pay across different seniority levels. To do this, we looked at gender differences in average total compensation and median salary across 6 different role levels. Beginning with average total compensation, we see significant pay disparities at the upper and lower ends of the seniority spectrum, with male Associate PMMs and VPs making roughly 19% more than their female equivalents on average. However, when it comes to the PMM and Senior PMM levels (the largest groups in the study), the pay gap vanishes to just 0.9% and 1.6% respectively. And at the (People) Manager of Product Marketing and Director of Product Marketing levels, we found that female respondents were recording higher levels of total compensation than their male counterparts. $214,555 $300k females males $268,027 -19.9% $250k $183,006 $174,440 $200k +4.9% $130,260 $133,785 $132,353 $111,300 $150k $88,590 -1.58% +20.2% $59,795 $89,399 $74,249 -0.9% $100k -19.4% $50k Associate Product Senior (People) Director VP of Product Product Marketing Product Manager of Product Marketing Marketing Manager Marketing of Product Marketing Manager Manager Marketing 46
